ERS Environment Management Plan
ERS are committed to the key message from the recent Natural Environment White Paper (June 2011)
‘…to protect and invest in the natural environment…’
We do this by providing sustainable manufacturing through environmental best practices such as:
- Purchasing recycled fabrics, usually made from post-industrial polyester which is diverted from landfill.
- Using compostable fabrics, 100% pure wool is naturally sustainable, renewable and easily compostable.
- Sourcing materials from companies that produce 100% climate neutral fabrics, who’s emissions from manufacture are ‘off-set’ or balanced by investment in projects that reduce C02 in the atmosphere to the same degree.
- Wood sustainably sourced and certified by FSC.
- MDF panels made from 80% recycled content with no added formaldehyde (meets E1:EN622-1).
- Waste saving and recycling initiatives
- Green heating generated from burning waste wood
- Recycling waste metal
- Recycling surplus/waste foam into foam chip directly via the manufactures
